Saturday, March 23
- All day. Downtown Brighton Scavenger Hunt! Beginning Saturday, March 23 and ending Saturday, March 30, visit downtown Brighton for some free family fun! Pick up your clue sheet(s) from 2 Dandelions Bookshop and go around to match each clue to a business. Walk to that business, find the picture of the book and write the title on your sheet. Once you’re finished, go back to the bookshop for a small prize. *NOTE* The bookstore is closed on Mondays. FREE.
- 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Dog Man Day at 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton. Celebrate Dav Pilkey’s release of his newest book, The Scarlet Shedder! The shop will be celebrating all day with the books, activities, exclusives, and of course, plenty of photo ops! Dog Man will visit from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Therapy dogs from Brighton Area Schools will also visit from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. Enjoy exclusives from Oh My Lolli, Great Harvest Bread Co, Captain’s on Main, and more! FREE.
- 1 p.m. Celebrate World Coyote Day at Howell Nature Center. Visit HNC to learn about our local coyotes and other canine friends. Visitors can make enrichment for the coyotes and foxes and watch a training session with our ambassador coyote, Kala. General Admission for adults is $15 and children $12, member admission for adults is $5 and children is $5. Register here.
- 2 p.m. Beat the Winter Blues Series: Scheer Genius Presents: Adventures in Reading at Hartland Music Hall. Explore books and reading in this outrageously fun presentation for kids of all ages! Brought to you by Maureen Elliott Edward Jones. Registration requested, but not required. FREE.
- 5:30-7:30 p.m. Infinity Gymnastics Easter Party in Brighton. Visit Infinity to burn energy and hunt for eggs! Must register online. $20/person.
Sunday, March 24
- 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. FREE Egg Hunt at St. George Lutheran Church in Brighton. Visit for a toddler/baby egg hunt from 10:10 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. All older kids egg hunt at 10:20 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. There will also be raffles, games, prizes, popcorn/coffee/water, and much more fun for the family! No registration required. Bring a basket for collecting eggs. FREE.
- 1 p.m. Egg Hunt and Open Gym at Bounce Gymnastics in Hartland. Visit for an egg-ceptional Easter Egg Hunt & Open Gym just for 2-4 year olds. Expect snacks, prizes, and tons of bouncing fun! $20/person. Must register in advance here.
- 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Pet Partners at Brighton District Library. Make a furry friend at the Library! Share a book or two with a certified therapy dog — they love to listen to stories. A caregiver must remain at the Library. All ages. Registration is not required. Drop-in; FREE.
Monday, March 25
- 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Play Day at Cromaine District Library in Hartland. This day brings time at the library just dedicated to play. Play with some of Cromaine’s cool toys! Drop in; FREE.
- 11 a.m. Read, Music, Play Early Literacy Class at Howell Carnegie Library. Children attend this class with a parent/caregiver. This program is geared towards infants through young 3 year olds, although all ages are welcome and should enjoy the program. The format is a mix of songs, stories, rhymes/fingerplays and time to socialize with the others in the group. Drop in; FREE.
- 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Build It! At Pinckney Community Library. Children can visit the library and express creativity with LEGO and other open-ended building materials. Drop in; FREE.
Tuesday, March 26
- Visit 2|42 Community Center in Brighton for a variety of activities! From 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. visit with Great Start Livingston for a toddler playdate. From 11:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. enjoy Read, Music, Play with Howell Carnegie Library, from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m., enjoy active play on the field (inflatables, jump ropes, hula hoops, parachutes) and from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. enjoy crafts in the Kids Park. FREE.
- 10 a.m. Family Storytime at Fowlerville District Library. Have fun singing songs, reading stories, dancing, and playing! Drop in; FREE.
- 10:15 a.m. Terrific Tuesdays at Brighton District Library. Join for a story time filled with rhythm, rhyme, and movement. Help your little one get ready to read by enjoying books, music, and more. All ages with a caregiver. Drop-in. Tickets available at the youth desk. FREE.
- 11 a.m. Spider Storytime at 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton. Reader Alison Cox will be bringing her two spiders, Mia and Rosie, to the bookshop for a special spider story time! Come to the shop to enjoy stories about spiders, including Jumper by Jessica Lanan and get an up-close look at Alison’s spiders! No reservations are required. FREE.
- 4:30 p.m. Teach A Horse To Read in Fowlerville. Visit Healing Hearts with Horses to read to one of their reading buddies (horses) from 4:30-5:30 p.m. $10 fee includes a snack, horse time, and a fun horse-related group activity! Message the page here to register for the event.

- All day! Visit Cromaine District Library in Hartland for Super Hero Day! Do you have superhero powers? Test your superhero abilities as you climb through webs, take on bad guys, and save the day! A perfect day to wear a costume to the library. Drop in; FREE.
- 10 a.m. Family Storytime at Fowlerville Library. Have fun singing songs, reading stories, dancing, and playing! Drop in; FREE.
- 10:15 a.m. Wonderful Wednesdays at Brighton District Library. Join for a story time filled with rhythm, rhyme, and movement. Help your little one get ready to read by enjoying books, music, and more. All ages with a caregiver. Tickets available at the youth desk. Drop in; FREE.
- 11 a.m. Visit the Howell Carnegie Library for a Family Early Literacy Class. Children attend this class with a parent/caregiver. This program is geared towards 3 to 5 year olds. - 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Visit 2|42 Community Center in Brighton for an Easter Scavenger Hunt. This is an open house style scavenger hunt. Come anytime! Check in at the field to get your scavenger hunt card and some instructions. Have fun as a family finding everything you need to! Turn your completed card in for a prize. FREE.
- 3-5 p.m. Wonka Movie Showing at Pinckney Community Library. Stop into the library to watch Wonka. FREE.
- 6 p.m. Pajama Storytime at 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton. All are invited to come to the bookshop for a very special story time! Put on your jammies and join Michigan author Emmy Kastner as she reads her brand new book “When You’re Asleep” and others. No registration needed. FREE.

- 9:30 a.m. Visit the Howell Carnegie Library for a Family Early Literacy Class. Children attend this class with a parent/caregiver. This program is geared towards 3 to 5 year olds. The format is a mix of songs, stories, rhymes/fingerplays, letter recognition, and time to socialize with the others in the group. Drop in; FREE.
- 10 a.m. Kids Yoga at Cromaine District Library in Hartland. Enjoy a fun and easy yoga class! Bring your own towel or yoga mat. For ages 2 through 10. Caregivers encouraged, but not required, to participate. Register online or by phone. FREE.
- 10 a.m. Author Visit at Fowlerville District Library. Meet author Caroline Kerfoot. She’ll read one of her children’s picture books, Adventures of Fox, have a Q&A, an illustration demo, a craft for kids, and a book signing. FREE.
- 10 a.m. Tot Time at Oceola Community Center in Howell. Drop in at the Oceola Community Center Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for Tot Time in the gym. Kids Under 5 and their caregivers are welcome to use the gymnasium space during this time. Strollers may be pushed on the rubber flooring around the gym, kids can run around the gym space, and there are soccer and basketballs available. $2/Adult (kids under 5 are free).
- 10:15 a.m. Littlest Learners at Brighton District Library. Rhyme and repetition! Rhyme and repetition! Little ones love rhyme and repetition. Stories, songs, and rhymes designed especially for lots of fun. Ages 0-23 months with a caregiver. Older siblings are welcome. Drop-in. Tickets available at the door. FREE.
- 12:30 p.m. Fairytale Fun at Brighton District Library. Join Ms. Sarah for some fairytale style fun. We’ll enjoy an interactive story, games, and crafts. Ages 5-7 with a caregiver. Registration required. FREE.
- 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Visit 2|42 Community Center in Brighton for a FREE movie day on the field! We’ll show a movie on the big screen and serve up free popcorn. Bring a blanket or camping chairs to sit on. Limited chairs will be provided. FREE.
- 1 p.m. Kids’ Yoga at 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton. Bring your kids in for a free yoga session, courtesy of Samantha from MI Fitness Community! Registration is required. Sign up here. FREE.

Friday, March 29
- 11 a.m. Visit 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton for BINGO fun! Limited to 30 children in the event of inclement weather. Must register here to reserve your spot. FREE.
- 2:30 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Medilodge in Howell. This is a FREE community event for children ages 12 and under. See post for various age group timing.
- 5:30 p.m. Visit Brighton Christian Church for an Egg-stravaganza. There will be egg hunts, trunk or treat style egg gathering, face-painting, temporary tattoos, bikes and prize give-a ways, live music, food and the Easter bunny. FREE.
Saturday, March 30
- 10 a.m. Hunt Along the Trail in Pinckney with realtor Cat Brown. Search along the Lakeland Trail for your chance to find a single Easter egg and claim one of many prizes generously donated by local business owners. Eggs are placed on an 8-mile stretch from the Huron River Bridge (behind Kroger) to the M-36 crossing west of Pinckney Village (near Cedar Lake Rd.). From 4-6 p.m., visit NautiMI On The River for pictures with the Easter Bunny. FREE.
- 10 a.m. Alive Church’s Easter Egg Hunt in Brighton. Visit the sanctuary for giveaways, games and hear a short, kid-friendly message about Easter, and then you’ll have a blast at the Egg Hunt on the church lawn. After the egg hunt, visit the gym to take pictures with the Easter Bunny! There will also be lots of fun activities and snacks like a bounce house, Easter tattoos, Gaga Ball, and popcorn. - 11 a.m. Storytime at 2 Dandelions Bookshop in Brighton. Visit 2 Dandelions for story time! All are welcome, no reservations required. When the weather allows we will gather outside on the patio, otherwise we will move indoors. FREE.
- 11 a.m. Easter Eggstravaganza at Brighton Assembly of God. This event is for age 0 to 6th grade, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. There will be Carnival games, popcorn, hot dogs, face painting, balloon animals and an egg hunt with 10,000 eggs. There will also be golden ticket winners from each age group and ONE large family raffle drawing. Register here. FREE.
- 1 p.m. Firefly Farms Egg Hunt in Brighton. Visit Firefly Farms for a FREE egg hunt with 2,000 eggs benefiting the Imagination Station Food Pantry. Learn more at this post. FREE.
