Starting school is an important time in a child’s life and children’s readiness for school is important to us. Kindergarten registration begins in January – April, depending on your school district.

Registering early allows the teachers, principals, and school districts several opportunities to connect with you and your child before school begins and allows them the opportunity to plan for the upcoming school year.

Fowlerville Kindergarten Registration

Fowlerville Kindergarten Registration

Fowlerville Community Schools offers two enriching programs for young learners: Kindergarten and Kinder Academy. Our Kindergarten program is designed for 5-year-olds and helps students develop essential academic and social skills through hands-on exploration. For younger children, Kinder Academy provides an extra year to grow and learn before entering Kindergarten, making it ideal for 4-year-olds who turn five between June 1 and December 1. This nurturing environment supports early development and prepares students for future success.

Parent Information Night

• Date: February 12th

• Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

• Location: Fowlerville Elementary School

• Details: This evening is designed for parents to learn about our various programs, review our curriculum, and participate in a Q&A session. Families will also have the opportunity to tour the building and visit several classrooms.

Kindergarten Round-up

• Dates: April 14th & 15th

• Time: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Hartland Kindergarten Registration

Online enrollment for Kindergarten begins February 1, 2026

Kindergarten orientation will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 10-11:30 am. at the HESSC, 9525 Highland Road (former high school on M-59).

• Parents will have an opportunity to hear from kindergarten teachers and principals about a “typical” school day and the curriculum. 
• Central office administrators, transportation and student nutrition personnel, and the school nurse will be on hand.

Howell Kindergarten Registration

Online enrollment for Kindergarten begins January 21, 2026

Pathways to Future Ready, Early Education Information Night – Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 6 p.m.
Howell High School’s Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Grand River, Howell, MI. 

Families with children ages 3–5 are encouraged to attend Pathways to Future Ready, an early education information night designed to help parents learn about Howell Public Schools’ early learning options before registration opens. Pathways to Future Ready brings all early learning programs together in one place and provides families with an overview of programs, including Begindergarten, Kindergarten, and Academia Bilingüe, kindergarten readiness, and the enrollment process. This event is a great first step for families who want to make an informed decision about the best pathway for their child as they begin their educational journey in Highlander Nation. Begindergarten and Kindergarten Registration

Begindergarten and Kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Registration for both programs can be completed online at HowellSchools.com/kdg.

Families are also invited to attend our Begindergarten and Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday, March 10, from 6–7 p.m. at each elementary school. During this event, families will:

• Learn more about the school
• Meet the principal and Begindergarten and Kindergarten teachers
• Tour the school

Academia Bilingüe at Three Fires Elementary Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program

The application window for Academia Bilingüe at Three Fires Elementary will open on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. This Spanish dual-language immersion program offers students the same curriculum as other classrooms in the district, taught entirely in Spanish. By the end of elementary school, students are proficient in both English and Spanish.

Pinckney Community Schools is also offering a 5-day full-day KinderREADY program at Farley Hill Elementary and Country Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. If the child is not 5 years of age by September 1, 2026, but will be 5 on or before December 1, 2026, the KinderREADY program is strongly recommended. KinderREADY is a program specially designed for young school-age children (children turning 5 between September 1, 2026, through December 1, 2026). KinderREADY honors the unique pace of young learners and was created specifically for children with summer/fall birthdays as an important transition year.
