Share Your Voice: 2022 White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, & Health

As we approach the upcoming 2022 White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, we are excited to invite you to contribute to our online hub. The hub is designed to elevate the voices of people across the country who’ve experienced hunger and the impact of diet-related diseases, such as heart disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes; and amplify the voices of all who are passionate about promoting health, nutrition, and physical activity. You are invited to check out our new website and submit a video.

Our user-friendly video website will guide you seamlessly through recording, reviewing, and submitting your video in a matter of minutes! Videos should be no more than one minute and can be filmed anywhere. Your video may be shared with Conference attendees, viewers and anyone hoping to join the conversation around hunger, nutrition, and health.

How to Create Your Video

Visit the website, click to record a video, and choose from one of the following questions to answer:

  1. How have you, your family, or your community been affected by hunger and diet-related disease?
  2. How are you promoting health, nutrition, and/or physical activity in your community?
  3. What are your ideas for ending hunger in America?
  4. What are your ideas to increase access to food?
  5. How do we create spaces that support everyone being physically active?

Before you submit the video, you’ll be asked to agree to the terms of use which include that your video may be displayed publicly at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health and/or made publicly available on social media platforms or U.S. Government websites.

You’ll receive a notification once your video has been published, and you can share it on your social media. Please be sure to use the Conference hashtag #WHConfHungerHealth when posting.

Tips and Best Practices for High-Quality Video:

  • Videos recorded using a microphone and/or headphones will have higher sound quality. Make sure to double-check audio inputs if using an external device.
  • Recording in areas with higher light quality will produce higher-quality videos. If you have poor light quality, use the “lights on” feature in the menu bar.
  • Wear headphones when recording in a loud environment to reduce background noise.
  • Make sure your face is in the frame and you’re not standing too far or too close to the camera. Keep the camera roughly 2 feet from your face for the perfect shot.

Kind Regards,
The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health
