Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) – Developmental Screenings
Do you have a child ages 2 months to 5 years old? If so, complete a FREE ASQ developmental screening for your child now!
Evidence shows the earlier development is assessed—the greater the chance a child has to reach his or her potential. Screening young children is a great way to catch any concerns and connect with resources when it can do the most good – during the child’s EARLY YEARS when their brain and body are quickly developing. Should you screen your child even if you think he/she is developing ‘on-track’? YES!
Developmental and social/emotional delays can be subtle and can occur in children who appear to be developing on time. When you complete a screening you will also receive easy to do home activities to support your child’s continued growth.
If your child’s ASQ score indicates the need for further assessment, you will be referred to Early On (for children ages birth – 3 years old) or to your local school district representative (for children ages 3-5). The evaluation and supports (if your child qualifies for any) are at no-cost to you. Please note, you are not obligated to complete the evaluation and/or may also choose to decline the free supports for your child.
The ASQ is just one tool to help monitor your child’s growth and development during their first 5 years. If there is a developmental delay or need, the sooner it is identified and addressed, the better long-term success you can expect for your child. Any questions or concerns should also be discussed with your child’s pediatrician.
