Child Care and Preschool Free or Low-Cost Opportunities
More Families Now Eligible for Free or Low-Cost Childcare in Michigan.
Last month, Governor Whitmer celebrated bipartisan expansion for access to free or low-cost childcare for 150,000 more Michigan kids and their families. See the full press release. To help with outreach efforts, here is a one-page child care subsidy flyer to share with families and community partners.
Locally, in Livingston County, the Child Care Network Family Support Program provides scholarships to help families pay for child care, including preschool.
Eligible families:
- Must be working, going to school, attending a job training program, seeking employment, experiencing a life-crisis situation, or grandparents raising grandchildren.
- Must have children ages birth – 14 years.
- Must meet income guidelines. These vary based on funding requirements, all who need assistance are encouraged to apply.
