Families – Need Help Finding Child Care?
We know that in these challenging times it can be hard to know where to find quality childcare that is open and serving school age children. We are here to help you find the care you need. When you are ready to find care for your children ages 0-12 years, please consider the following options we offer in partnership with the statewide Great Start to Quality system and Help Me Grow Michigan.
Supports to help you find care:
1. Find information yourself online or from your mobile device:
a. Go to www.greatstarttoquality.org for child care in all areas of the state. Great Start to Quality is Michigan’s free searchable website available 24/7 for child care referrals. You can filter by your preferred location, needs and other factors to find care tailored to your family’s need.
b. For City of Detroit care (0-5 year-olds), you can also find care by going to Connect4Care Kids at www.connect4carekids.org or text KIDS to 42273.

2. Fill out a form online and get a call and/or email follow up list of available providers:
a. Go to www.helpmegrow-mi.org for child care in all areas of the state. Click on Find Childcare. Complete the online form and submit.
*Please allow at least 48 hours for a response.
3. Contact someone who can help:
a. Contact your local Great Start to Quality Resource Center at 1- 877-614-7328. Enter your zip code for the location you would like to find child care. This will direct you to a local child care referral specialist for personalized supports.
