Join Us September 2 for the Great Start Collaborative Meeting

Great Start Livingston invites you to join us on Wednesday, September 2, from 9:00–11:45 a.m. at Livingston Educational Service Agency.

This meeting is an opportunity to celebrate the work happening across Livingston County, connect with others who support young children and families, and look ahead together as we begin a new fiscal year.

Who Should Attend?

The Great Start Collaborative brings together people from across Livingston County who have an interest in supporting young children and families. This meeting is open to:

• Great Start Collaborative partners
• Parents and caregivers of young children
• Early childhood providers
• Schools, libraries, health care providers, nonprofits, and community organizations
• Employers with employees who are raising young families
• Anyone interested in learning about and supporting early childhood efforts in Livingston County

Lunch will be provided.

Why the Great Start Collaborative?

Supporting children and families takes more than any one program, organization, or sector.

The Great Start Collaborative creates a space for families, providers, organizations, schools, health professionals, community leaders, and others to better understand each other’s work, identify needs and gaps, reduce duplication, strengthen connections, and work together toward a stronger early childhood system.

Our purpose is:

Building community connections that support families with young children.

These connections matter because families often interact with many different parts of the early childhood system—from health care and developmental supports to child care, preschool, literacy, basic needs, parenting resources, and family activities. By working together, we can help make those supports easier for families to find and navigate.

• Next Steps — looking ahead to the coming fiscal year and discussing where our collaborative work goes next
• Partner Share — an opportunity to hear what is happening across Livingston County and share upcoming programs, resources, priorities, and needs

One of the most important parts of the Great Start Collaborative is learning from the people doing the work throughout our community.

During our Partner Share, everyone will have an opportunity to share one big thing you want the Great Start Collaborative to know about what is happening in your work.

That might be:

• A new program, service, or resource
• An upcoming event or opportunity for families
• A need or gap you are seeing
• A success worth celebrating
• A challenge that may benefit from stronger community collaboration
• An opportunity for organizations to work together

Celebrating the Past Year & Looking Ahead

There is a lot happening for young children and families in Livingston County, and this meeting gives us an opportunity to recognize the work that has happened because people and organizations have been willing to collaborate.

We’ll also spend time looking ahead. As we enter a new fiscal year, we’ll discuss next steps and how we can continue strengthening connections and advancing our shared work across Livingston County.

We hope you will make the time to join us as we engage, lean in, listen to one another, and determine how we can work together to support Livingston County’s children and families.
