Great Start Collaborative Update
Great Start Livingston was busy over the past few months applying for grants and completing reports for current grants.
The Great Start Livingston Early Childhood Collective Impact Coalition received the award notice for the July 2020 – June 2021 grant period. We received the same amount of funding as the 2019 – 2020 grant period. This is a total of $81,000 which will be divided among Healthy Families Livingston, CAP Council/Infant Safety, Pregnancy Help Clinic/Earn While You Learn, Child Connect for Family Success/CDA program and Great Start Livingston/Parent Education. This past grant period ended June 30. The mid year report was provided electronically and virtually in April. The year end reports are due in July.
Great Start Livingston has been awarded $14,486 through the Trusted Advisor Grant. This grant will run from June 29 – November 27, 2020. This grant will allow us to provide parent and family supports such as play dates, parent cafés, reading workshops and a resilience workshop this fall. We will work to reach fathers, grandparents and many families throughout Livingston County.
Great Start Livingston, on behalf of the Livingston County Home Visiting Coalition, was awarded the Michigan Home Visiting Needs Assessment grant. This award of $5,000 will help support the needs assessment process to take place from July – August. The Coalition will work together to complete the needs assessment which will include data review, assessment of local supports, a parent focus group and more.
Great Start Livingston is in the final quarter of our 2019 – 2020 fiscal year. Our current work plan will end September 30, 2020. The Subcommittees, Steering committee and Collaborative will have opportunities to plan for our upcoming work plan for fiscal year 2020-2021. It is anticipated this grant, including the work plan, will be due September 15, 2020.
