Highlander Reading Express

The Highlander Reading Express will be hitting the road again and running a weekly route all summer long. Each week The Highlander Reading Express will visit areas around our community to promote summer reading. Through this initiative, we hope to increase excitement for reading, maintain student achievement levels, and reduce summer reading loss.

Weekly Schedule June 13-August 10
The Highlander Reading Express will not run during the week of July 2, 2023.

Tuesday (starting June 20)
Hidden Creek Subdivision (Laston south of M-59)
Sonata Drive at the walking path.
Stop time: 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Rolling Ridge Subdivision (Latson north of Grand River)
Near the corner of Sugarbush Dr and Snowden Lane
Stop time: 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Thursday
Little Highlanders Learning Center
861 E. Sibley Street
Stop time: 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Marion Township Park #1
(Triangle Lake Rd just south of Coon Lake Road)
Stop time: 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Thursday Evening Stop
On select Thursday evenings, the Highlander Reading Express will join the Summer Lunch Bunch at the Howell Estates basketball courts from 5 to 6 p.m.
