Holiday Travel Safety Tips

The holidays are a special time to connect with loved ones, but if you’re traveling with children, safety should be a top priority.

Here are five travel tips to help your holiday be as safe as it is memorable.

  1. Verify Hotel and Airbnb Safety Protocols – check for safe sleep accommodations, anchored furniture and cordless window treatments.
  2. Now’s a good time to check your car seat installation, check for recalls, and learn about using seats for airplane travel.
  3. Even away from home, you should follow infant safe sleep guidelines wherever you travel. Bring your own safe bassinet or play yard when possible.
  4. Grandma has some cool old toys, but check for hazards before letting children play with them.
  5. Everyone – relatives, friends, and even a stranger on the plane has their own thoughts about baby safety and comfort. Stick to what you know to be safe and change the conversation to something else.
