Licensing Rules for Child Care Homes – Ad Hoc Committee Public Comment Opportunity
The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) is currently making changes to the Licensing Rules for Child Care Homes, R 400.1901 through R 400.1963. As part of this process, an advisory ad hoc committee of child care providers and families is collecting public input to inform the recommendations submitted on the draft ruleset.

We invite members of the public to attend an upcoming virtual public comment meeting. If you would like to provide comment to the advisory committee, please email MiLEAP-CCLB-Help@michigan.gov, attention Erika Bigelow and Chanti Cole, Subject – Child Care Home Licensing Rule Ad Hoc Committee Public Comment, with your name, organization you are representing if applicable, any special accommodations that may be necessary for you to participate, and at which virtual meeting you intend to provide comment.
Individuals who do not indicate in advance that they wish to speak will be added if time permits. Written comments can also be submitted for the committee’s consideration by emailing MiLEAP-CCLB-Help@michigan.gov, attention Erika Bigelow and Chanti Cole, with the subject line “Licensing Rules for Child Care Homes Ad Hoc Comments”.
Additional opportunities for public comment will be provided pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act.
