Great Start Livingston and Help Me Grow Livingston are sharing this community event as a resource for Livingston County families. LivCo Connected is a community-driven public safety initiative designed to strengthen communication, trust, and outcomes between Livingston County first responders and individuals with disabilities, medical conditions, and unique communication or behavior needs.

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: LESA, 1425 W. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843
Cost: Free
Registration: Not required — families may stop by anytime during the event window.
Who Is This Event For?
This event is designed for families and caregivers of individuals with autism, disabilities, dementia, medical conditions, and other unique communication or behavior needs. All ages are welcome.
Safety Resources Available
- MSP VIP fingerprinting and photograph to support identification for vulnerable individuals through a statewide database
- Identifying sticker as a subtle visual indicator for vehicles or residences
- 911 address flag enrollment to help notify first responders of relevant safety and communication considerations
- STS enrollment to allow families to provide critical, secure information such as communication needs, triggers, and medical considerations
- Resources and caregiver support information
Family-Friendly Activities
Families can also expect a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment with snacks, volunteers, break areas, emergency vehicles, sensory items, bubbles, hula hoops, balls, a bounce house, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office therapy dog.

Preparing before an emergency can help families feel more confident and help first responders better understand individual needs. LivCo Connected offers families the opportunity to learn about safety tools, meet local responders, and explore resources in one place.
