On Tuesday, April 7 from 5-7 p.m., community members will come together for a lively and inspiring evening hosted by Women United and the Livingston County United Way. The event brings together friends, neighbors, and local champions who care deeply about supporting families and helping young children thrive.

But Power of the Purse isn’t just a fun night out—it’s a meaningful opportunity to invest in the future of our community…and us here at Great Start Livingston!

Turning Purses into Possibilities

Power of the Purse is known for its exciting auctions and purse-themed fun. Guests can enjoy a silent auction, purse garage sale, and live auction, all featuring a variety of unique handbags and other items generously donated by community members and businesses.

It’s a chance to browse, bid, and maybe even go home with a new favorite purse—but the real prize is the difference these contributions make.

Every bid, every ticket, and every donation helps support local families.

Supporting Our Youngest Learners

Funds raised during Power of the Purse will help support our work with the Great Start Collaborative, which focuses on helping children from birth to age five get the strongest possible start in life.

Through partnerships across Livingston County, we work to connects families with important resources such as:

• Free developmental screenings

• Parenting support and education

• Early literacy opportunities

• Access to specialized services for children and families

These efforts ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
