Michigan’s Maternal and Child Health Programs Want To Hear From Michigan Parents

Michigan’s Maternal and Child Health programs want to hear from parents, caregivers, and birthing persons in Michigan! 

The Michigan Public Health Institute is hosting discussions on maternal and child health in Michigan. Information learned in these 90-minute virtual sessions will inform the Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment which is completed every five years.  To be eligible for this project participants must: 

  • Live in Michigan 
  • Be 18 years or older 
  • Identify with one of the following:
    • Mother or birthing person who had a child within the last 3 years: Topics will include prenatal and postpartum care, childbirth, dental care during pregnancy, and breastfeeding. 
    • Parent or caregiver of child(ren) under age 5: Topics will include infant safe sleep, dental care for children, vaccinations, lead testing, and overall health. 
    • Parent or caregiver of child(ren) aged 5-21: Topics will include bullying, medical homes, vaccinations, dental care for children and adolescents, and overall health.
