Summer is just about here, and with it comes endless opportunities to play, explore, and grow! The 2025 Kindergarten Summer Activity Calendar is your go-to guide for keeping little learners engaged all summer long while getting ready for the exciting journey into kindergarten.
Each month—June, July, and August—is packed with hands-on activities that help build essential skills through play and everyday moments. From exploring nature and visiting local libraries to practicing self-care routines and counting fireflies, there’s something new to discover every day.

Every week, our calendar highlights at-home ideas and local activities that promote early literacy, social-emotional learning, outdoor exploration, and family bonding. Some activities are hosted by our community partners, while others are just great opportunities to explore together as a family!
Additional Opportunity: Community Playdates – Join Us!
We’re hosting five special Great Start Livingston Playdates this summer. These events are free, open to the public, and no registration is required. Here’s when and where to find us:

👟 Newer park with lots of climbing and creative play features - July 30: Genoa Township Park (2911 Dorr Rd., Brighton)
📚 Includes a StoryWalk®, two separate playgrounds for various ages, and a water misting feature - August 12: Manly W. Bennett Memorial Park East (10405 Merrill Rd., Whitmore Lake)
🌳 Beautiful natural setting with nature trails and fun play structures - We’re also excited to welcome community partners at each event with hands-on activities and information for families.
