Pregnancy & New Mom Classes in Brighton: November 2026 at Whole Mama Michigan

Help Me Grow Livingston | Community Partner Spotlight

Sometimes the best way to see a community growing is to look at the shoes by the door.

At Whole Mama Michigan, I look at the shoes in our cubbies, the car seats and strollers lined up along the wall, and think: all these parents made it here today. Between feeding the baby, packing the diaper bag, and figuring out when to leave the house, they made room for connection.

That’s what I hope you feel when you visit, too. You might not know who will be there that day, but you know you’ll be welcomed.

A place for parents to find their people

Whole Mama Michigan is a pregnancy and postpartum wellness center in Brighton, bringing education, trusted professionals, movement, and community together under one roof. We support families preparing for birth, figuring out feeding, adjusting to life with a baby, and finding their footing as parents.

You might come for a birth class with your partner, bring your feeding questions to a lactation consultant, or join a class simply because you’d like to spend an hour with other moms and babies. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you walk in.

What Parents in Our Community Are Saying

In a recent Mama Minute newsletter, I shared a few of the moments that tell me this community is doing what I hoped it would.

A mom offered unopened formula she didn’t need in our group chat. Another replied that it was exactly what her baby used, and they arranged to bring it to yoga. Two moms at Moms & Mocktails discovered they lived in the same neighborhood and made plans to walk with their babies. A dad who had taken Empowered Birth said he felt much more prepared to ask about the risks, benefits, and options during his partner’s labor and advocate for her values and preferences.

Those are the wins I think about: someone having what they need, finding a nearby friend, or feeling ready to ask a question that matters to their family.

Families have shared similar experiences in their feedback. Caitlynn described feeling less alone through the new mom group and getting helpful breastfeeding support from Jen, our lactation consultant. Sam shared that a friendship formed through birth and newborn care classes continued after their babies arrived—with a first baby get-together.

The class gets you in the door. The connections can become part of your everyday life.
