Help My Child Be Ready to Read

Right from birth, babies are listening, looking, and learning. The first few years set the stage for the rest of a child’s life. Find and enjoy everyday moments when you can talk, sing, read, and play with your child. Spend time together while you read aloud to help create strong parent-child bonds and promote healthy brain development. Children who are read to have improved language and listening skills, experience stronger emotional connections more often to their loved ones, and gain a lifelong love of reading.
